Who we're looking for

WeLab is looking for a Director / Lead, Project Management Office to join the team!

This role will report to Group COO and oversees the Indonesia Digital Bank project management process including governance, team leadership, monitoring, prioritization, communication and quality controls. The job holder should have a proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team development and business growth.

What you will be doing

Provide management, leadership, and strategic view throughout the build phrase of the digital bank project
Work closely with Senior Management to ensure effective project management and implementation
Direct the activities of the project team and determine how team resources should be allocated
Manage and monitor the project life cycle against the required methodology, standards, time frame and budget
Partner with different Business Units, Technology, Product, People, Operations, Risk, etc. to ensure successful project delivery
Ensure that project implementation is aligned with business objectives and strategic plans
Provide strong holistic view and recommendations to project team
Communicate with Senior Management on successes and issues promptly in project implementation
Coach and mentor project managers to deliver successful project implementation and results
Responsible for achieving appropriate governance and transparency for projects so that the appropriate oversight and reporting is achieved
Ensure compliance of the relevant quality standard as defined by the Company

What is required and what we’re looking for

University degree or above with qualification of PMP
Minimum 12 years of working experience in project management of FinTech, banking or wealth management
At least 6+ years of managerial experience
Experience in waterfall and agile program / project management and delivery
Sound knowledge of digital retail banking products and operations
Strong written and verbal communications, analytical, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent judgment with proven ability to identify problems and deal with complex issues
Demonstrated leadership and business management ability to establish and manage a high-performance team
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise and deliver high quality work
Self-motivated and a collaborative team player with great sense of ownership
With experience in bank regulations and compliance is a plus
Fluent in verbal and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin; Indonesia Bahasa is a plus
